Day 01

Kathmandu (1300) -Kerung Border (145 Km) 06-07 hours drive

Embark on a scenic drive early in the morning towards the Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border), passing through the picturesque Nepalese countryside. After completing the necessary border formalities at the Nepalese immigration, you will have an adventurous uphill journey by bus or van (usually) for about an hour, or a two-hour uphill walk if there has been a landslide. Once you reach the Chinese immigration, check in to the hotel or continue your drive to Kerung.
Day 02

Kerung - Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m): 225 Km/244 Km

Embark on a thrilling uphill drive to the highest plateau in the world, where the striking Tibetan landscape surrounds you, creating the sensation of standing on the roof of the world. Weather permitting, you'll be treated to a breathtaking panorama of the majestic Himalayan ranges, including Mount Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mount Xishapagma (8,012m), though their grandeur is dwarfed by the immense expanse of the Tibetan plateau. From Tingri, you'll also have the opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring presence of Mount Everest (8,848m).
Day 03

Tingri/Lhaste - Xigatse (3,900 M): 244 Km

Continue your scenic drive as you cross Gyatchu La (5,220m), the highest pass on the route to Lhasa via Lhatse. From here, a road branches off to the west, leading towards the sacred Mount Kailash.
Day 04

Xigatse - Gyantse (3,950m) – Lhasa (3650m)

Start the morning with a visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the residence of the Panchen Lama. Afterward, drive to Gyantse, where you'll explore the Kumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery. Enjoy a full day of scenic driving, crossing the Karola Pass (5,010m) and Kambala Pass (4,749m). Along the way, take in the vibrant views of Yamdrok-Tso Lake and the Brahmaputra River (Yarlung Tsangpo), a vital lifeline for Tibet.
Day 05

Sightseeing In Lhasa

Embark on a sightseeing tour of Lhasa, visiting the iconic Jokhang Temple and the bustling Barkhor Bazaar. Explore the grandeur of Potala Palace and discover the spiritual atmosphere of Sera Monastery.
Day 06

Lhasa – Shigatse (3900m) 261km

Drive back to Shigatse and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07

Xigatse – Ronbuk (4980m) 334km

Drive to Xegar, crossing over Gyatchula Pass (5,200m), and enjoy a scenic journey through the stunning Tibetan countryside. Hike up to Everest Base Camp and explore the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world.
Day 08

Ronbuk – Kerong

The Rongbuk–Kerong trek connects Rongbuk Monastery near Mount Everest to Kerong, passing through stunning Himalayan landscapes and Tibetan villages. It offers a quieter, off-the-beaten-path adventure with beautiful views and cultural insights, requiring good physical preparation for the altitude.
Day 09

Kerong to Kathmandu

The journey involves traveling from Kerong, a town in Tibet near the Nepal border, to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Travelers typically cross the border at the Kodari checkpoint, then make their way through the scenic landscapes of Nepal, including the foothills of the Himalayas. The route takes you through local villages, offering glimpses of Nepali culture and the stunning natural surroundings. The drive or bus ride can take around 6-8 hours, depending on road conditions and border crossing times.
